RunBuggy is the largest open car transportation marketplace connecting thousands of shippers and haulers in real-time.  We make shipping cars easy.  We also take security seriously and we are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as Information Security Manager.  The InfoSec Manager will be ultimately responsible for the overall development and management of our cybersecurity programs to ensure our product, customer, partner, and employee data is securely protected from breach and other malicious activity.

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of strategic programs and projects related to Information Security in support of business goals.
  • Direct ongoing and proactive risk assessment programs for all new and existing systems, remains familiar with business goals and processes as to develop effective controls to maintain a strong security posture.
  • Oversees all activities related to development, implementing, reviewing, and maintaining, companywide information security policies and procedures.
  • Provide InfoSec leadership and assist other departments to ensure compliance by guidance, reporting and tracking progress, and issue resolution.
  • Fulfilling legal and contractual information security and privacy requirements, including reporting compliance and audit findings.
  • Collaborate with management and IT to improve security.
  • Ensures vulnerabilities are managed by directing periodic tests of critical business systems and applications.
  • Develop information security awareness training and education programs as to present them to organizational members.
  • Acts proactively to prevent protentional disaster situations by ensuring proper protections and safeguards are in place to detect and prevent intrusion.
  • Provide for the availability of business-critical applications by ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place.
  • Evaluates security incidents and determines the response needed and coordinates business responses.
  • Leads all certification programs surrounding applicable industry compliance standards.



  • 4+ years of varied information technology experience is required specific to security.
  • Experience to include but not limited to computer and networking infrastructure, operating systems, information security, application software development, project management, agile methodologies, regulatory compliance, risk management and providing training.
  • Ability to understand hardware and software systems is required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in writing technical specifications are required.
