We’re currently seeking an IT Manager to join our Team of Passionate, and Highly Skilled Individuals in a Fast-Paced Startup Environment.


IT Manager’s primary responsibility is to oversee the streamlined operation of the IT department and to ensure it aligns with the business objectives of RunBuggy. This individual’s principal goals are administering the building and maintenance of a highly stable, secure, and available network infrastructure, developing, and managing application portfolios for all areas of the business, attaining all IT service level agreements for the user community within the organization, and engaging in business activities in order to build and maintain a deep level of understanding of the tactical and strategic business objectives of the company. IT Manager will plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. IT Manager will work closely with Chief Financial Officer and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Collaborate with leadership and provide input in creating the formation of the organization’s strategic business plan.
  • Designs, implements, and monitors IT governance processes and control environment consistent with best IT practices and regulatory expectations.
  • Coaches and mentors the team by setting performance goals, monitoring progress, and coaching to ensure the Team is maintaining the organization’s technology strategy to enable the business to grow, while ensuring security and stability of the environment and user experience.
  • Stays abreast of technology trends, risks, and regulatory changes that relate to the industry.
  • Manages vendor relationships to ensure the organization is receiving an adequate return on investment, in an efficient and effective manner within allocated budget.
  • Integrates appropriate security and control practices across the enterprise, to mitigate risk for both RunBuggy and the Customer.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with the Operations department on current and future initiatives, status, upgrades, and system maintenance to ensure effective communication, prioritization, and implementation.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive organization-wide information security program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected against current, future, internal and external threats.
  • Developing, identifying, directing, coordinating, evaluating, and reporting on information security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements while enabling RunBuggy to develop an anticipatory response to minimize information security risk and breach events.
  • Facilitates the design and execution of a long-range Technology Strategic Plan.
  • Installs, supports, and maintains Windows servers, workstations, and laptops.
  • Maintains records, inventory, log management and performs major upgrades, as necessary.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and installs purchased or leased computer hardware and software.
  • Administers the messaging and communication systems (phone system and cellular).
  • Administers the print solutions
  • Supports end users daily via telephone, Slack, Text or Direct in-person contact (if needed).
  • Coordinate’s security measures for the domain, network, and end users.
  • Supports applications as they relate to data transfers, security, integration, and APIs, etc. as needed.
  • Leads new employee owner IT Onboarding Activities.


What You Bring to the Team by Way of Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Related field – Information Technology or similar.
  • 3-5+ years of related industry experience in IT Management.
  • Able to lead Project Teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
  • Experience leading functional and geographically dispersed teams
  • Ability to deliver short term deliverables without compromising long term value/strategy.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with process improvement.
  • Proficiency in working with all types of operating systems (Windows, Windows Server, macOS, Linux).
  • Familiarity or practical experience with cloud-based hosting, infrastructure, and security.
  • Familiarity or practical experience working with a variety of software applications such as GSuite, Zendesk, OKTA, JAMF, NetSuite, and HRIS Systems.
  • Familiarity or practical experience working with a variety of security frameworks and security tools such as SOC2, NIST, Endpoint Protection, ITAM’s, and log analysis tools.
  • Familiarity or practical experience with LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Wireless Networking, Firewall/Router, and Intrusion Detection concepts and implementations.
  • The ability to solve complex problems on the fly with creative out-of-the box thinking.
  • Self-development skills with a willingness to keep up to date with fast changing trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships across the company by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Relentless curiosity and desire to learn and grow skillset at RunBuggy.
