We’re currently seeking a Damage Claims Manager to join our Team of Passionate, and Highly Skilled Individuals in a Fast-Paced Startup Environment.
The Damage Claims Manager plays a critical role in RunBuggy’s ability to resolve claims successfully and efficiently. This role investigates claims – communicating with transporters regarding the claims that have been made against their company. This position will consult with all involved to gather information which will then be used in determining coverage, liability, and the total value of the claim.
What you will be doing:
Clearly define, document, and communicate performance expectations for the appropriate internal and external parties.
Assist Senior Manager in analyzing management report data to identify customer trends that impact customer service, quality, and profitability.
Create, prepare, and present reports for executives on claims progress.
Collaborating with Operations and Accounting departments to ensure claims resolution.
Administering claims training to new hires and RunBuggy staff as needed.
Oversee the entire lifecycle of assigned claims following established claims handling strategies.
Identify and contact individuals who may have documents and information related to transporters claims and interview those relevant individuals.Identify and gather documents and materials related to transporters claims such as pick up and drop off point pictures, GPS coordinates, certificates of insurance, and other evidentiary documents.
Create/open new digital claims files and update database.
Maintain open claim files, and pending claims in databases and digital copy.
Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external customers, including transporters, underwriters, and agents.
Consistently demonstrate sound claim handling practices by achieving compliance in areas including investigation, coverage, loss assessment, and case management.
Prepare/revise general releases, settlement agreements and other settlement documents – and if appropriate - arrange for timely execution and payment of settlement fees.
Partner with other departments, as needed, such as Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Customer Service, and IT with regard to claims.
Create and maintain various databases pertaining to claims and certain legal matters.
Build out the claims process and manage the process to build out a customer-facing online claims portal
